2.1.8.2. Counting of month(s)

'Month(s)' for the purpose of determining duration of ticket validity shall mean a period of time from a given date in one month to the corresponding date in a subsequent month, e.g.:

1 month validity 01 Jan - 01 Feb

2month validity 15 Jan-15 Mar

3 month validity 30 Jan-30 Apr

EXCEPTIONS

  1. Where the corresponding date does not exist in a shorter subsequent month, then the month(s) shall mean from a given date in one month to the last day of such shorter subsequent month,

e.g. 1 - month validity 30 Jan to 28 (29) Feb.

  1. When the 'given date l is the last day in one month, then the 'corresponding date' in a subsequent month will

be the last day in such subsequent month(s), e.g.:

1 month validity 31 Jan - 28 (29) Feb

2month validity 28 (29) Feb - 30 Apr

3month validity 30 Apr-31 Jul

2.1.8.3. Counting of year

For the purposes of determining the duration of ticket validity shall mean a period of time from the date of ticket issuance or the date of commencement of travel, as applicable, to the corresponding date in the subsequent year, e.g.:

1 year validity 01 Jan 99 - 01 Jan 00

28 Feb 00 - 28 Feb 01

2.1.8.4. Minimum stay

Unless otherwise provide i in a specific fare rule, minimum stay means.

A Transatlantic Tran pacific travel to I from Canada, USA: See the Transatlantic/ Transpacific Reference Chart

B Other Transatlantic/ Transpacific: The number of days, counting from the day after departure on the outbound Transatlantic/Transpacific sector to the earliest day return Transatlantic/ Transpacific travel may commence from the last / stopover point (including for this purpose the point of turnaround).

C Area 1: See the An 1 Reference Chart

D All other travel: The number of days counting from the day after departure, or the number of months counting from the day of departure on the first outbound international sector to the earliest day return travel may commence from the last stopover outside the country of origin (including for this purpose the point of turnaround)

EXCEPTION: Sunday return travel from the point of turnaround must not commence before 0001 hours on

the Sunday following of outbound departure

Exception: within Europe return travel from the last fare construction point outside the country of origin must not commence before on the Sunday after the date of arrival at the first fare construction point outside the country of unit origin

E When a fare rule a minimum number of days to be spent in or at a specific area, country or city, such duration is counted from the day after day of arrival to the earliest day return travel may commence.

2.1.8.5. Maximum stay

Unless otherwise a specific fare rule, maximum stay means the number of days counting from the day after departure, or number of months counting from the day of departure, to the last day return travel may commence from the stopover point (including for this purpose the point of turnaround).
