Nowadays it is becoming more and more popular to eat out. People go to different restaurants, cafés, pizzerias and bistros. It is very convenient when you have no time and wish to cook. So you can eat out and it won’t be very expensive.

There are a lot of different cafés in our city. And you can go to any café which is situated not far from your house. Usually there is a great variety of dishes for all tastes. You can choose whatever you want and try different cuisines.

You can go to a café alone or with your friends. There is always a friendly atmosphere, good music and beautiful design. You can chat, have fun and use free Wi-Fi. When you come to a café a waiter brings you a menu and you can make an order. As a rule, there are 3 main categories of meals: a starter (a first course), a main course and a dessert. If you are ready a waiter comes to you to take your order. The service is good and the waiters are very polite in a café. It is becoming more common to tip a waiter for a good service.

After the meal you ask to bring a bill. You may pay cash or by credit card. Sometimes there are special offers for regular clients or different discounts.

Staying at a hotel (Пребывание в отеле)

Nowadays there are a lot of different hotels all over the world. People travel a lot and they usually stay at the hotels.

If you are going to stay at a hotel it is better to make a reservation in advance. You can book a room by phone or by internet. There are different types of rooms: a single room, a double room, a twin-bedded room, rooms for smokers and non-smokers. You can choose any room you want.

When you check in, you should fill out the registration form and put down some general information about yourself (name, nationality, home address, telephone number, etc.). After it a receptionist gives you a key and wishes a pleasant stay. And when you check out you may pay cash or by credit card for your stay.

Very often people choose a hotel according to its location and service. The 5 – star hotels are usually situated in the city-centre, they are very expensive and they provide courteous, warm and personal service. They are designed to meet the requirements of any traveler. Rich people always stay at the 5 – star hotels.

People who would like to save money choose 3 or 4 - star hotels. These hotels also provide a good service and the prices are not very high there.

All in all, almost all the hotels have comfortable rooms, good entertainment facilities and excellent service staff. Usually there are gift shops, some cafés and restaurants in the hotel. They cook for their guests the most delicious food to any taste. The hotel staff can arrange sightseeing tours, airport transportation and taxi service. It is becoming more and more common to tip the hotel staff and the maids for a good service.

Travelling (Путешествие)

Travelling is becoming more and more popular nowadays. People all over the world enjoy it very much. They travel either on business or for pleasure every day and use different means of travelling such as: car, bus, train, ship, plane or helicopter.

Many people like to spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other countries and continents, to learn a lot about people's customs and traditions, to go sightseeing and to enjoy picturesque and historical places. It is interesting for them to discover interesting things, different ways of life, to meet new people, to try different food.

If you are going to travel you should go to a travel agency where a travel agent will help you to choose a package holiday and to plan a journey. During a journey you may stay in a hotel or a rent-home. In some agencies everything is included: tickets, hotels, food and excursions. It is very convenient.

As for me, I like travelling very much. I prefer to travel by plane. In the future I would like to go to Italy.
