Передмова.

Методичні рекомендації до проведення практичних занять з дисципліни „Іноземна мова (англійська)” призначені для студентів І курсу напряму підготовки 6.020207 „Дизайн” галузі знань 0202 „ Мистецтво” факультету кібернетики.

Метою МР є навчання усному монологічному мовленню за темою „Живопис Середніх віків”. МР призначені для аудиторної роботи зі студентами та складаються з 6 уроків. Кожен з перших п’яти уроків містить невеликий за об’ємом текст для читання зі словником та лексичні вправи, націлені на опанування необхідної лексики для усного мовлення за темою.

Кольорові ілюстрації допомагають студентам створити повну уяву художніх реалій Середньовіччя, а забарвлення окремих завдань націлює на виконання однакових операцій, що робить навчально-пізнавальну діяльність студентів більш ефективною. Система вправ створює певну лексичну базу для подальшого усного обговорення. Саме тому у МР багато уваги приділяється правильній вимові слів. У розділі „Pronunciation” надана фонетична транскрипція інтернаціональних слів та найбільш складних слів у плані фонетичної презентації. Окремим списком надані власні назви.

У МР використовується комунікативний метод навчання іноземним мовам. Урок 6 „Training speaking skills” забезпечує студентів необхідними засобами для успішного виконання вправ на усне монологічне мовлення.

Для самоконтролю та корегування виконання завдань надані ключі.

In the epoch of the Middle Ages painting became the primary kind of Art. The drastic changes in social life and technical tools enabled the artists to create realistic, full of humanism masterpieces. It was their destiny to initiate genuine revolution in the west European Art.

During the decline of the Roman Age painting was considered to be as a skill of craftsmen. Tapestries, mosaics, sculptures were preferable in that time. A painter was invited to decorate a statue made by someone’s chisel, to do murals. The book graphics perfected by the chain of monks’ generations took the highest place. The monks recopied manuscripts and decorated them with miniatures and monograms.

In the 13^th century the human European civilization developed too fast. It resulted in opening new horizons and perspectives for artists. The castles and palaces of noble people were decorated with unprecedented magnificent luxury. Cities of Paris, Prague, London, and Rome were being expanded. Aristocrats, the clergy and nobility were eager to possess new canvases, but only on the ecclesiastical topics. With the expansion of literacy literature was demanded. The best samples of book art with miniatures created not only by the monks but by professionals in their own studios were provided to the kings and earls. Despite the low social position during the life, the names of numerous artists have become the public property.
