Предисловие
В условиях развития процессов глобализации информационные технологии повсеместно проникают в различные сферы деятельности, определяя для человека первостепенную необходимость ориентироваться в информационном пространстве. Учебное пособие «Information Technologies: Development and Perspectives» направлено на развитие коммуникативных навыков устной и письменной речи технического английского языка в рамках тем, заданных содержанием программы.
Цель данного пособия – обучить студентов языковым средствам для осуществления эффективной профессиональной коммуникации на английском языке. Представленный материал позволяет не только расширить и углубить знания в английском языке, но и овладеть основами компьютерной грамотности, речевого этикета, получить представление о глобальной информационной сети Интернет и её составляющих, тенденциях развития Всемирной паутины и возникающих проблемах информационной безопасности.
Учебное пособие содержит:
- тексты из оригинальной литературы, посвящённые теме «Компьютеры и информационные технологии»;
- учебные задания, способствующие усвоению и запоминанию специальных терминов;
