Which word? job/career/position/post/vocation/work

Your job is what you do in order to receive a regular income. The word is often used when describing how your work meets your personal or financial requirements: a boring/interesting/a well-paid job.

Work is an uncountable noun and is used to describe what you do in your job: What work do you do? full-time/manual/skilled work. It is also often used when speaking about the relationship between your personal life and time spent working: the difficulties of balancing work and family.

Both job and work are used to describe the state of having work: to look for/find work/ a jobto be out of work/a job (= not doing any paid work).

A career is a series of jobs in a particular area of work, especially one for which you need a qualification or special training: a career in business/law.

A vocation describes a career that you believe is particularly suitable for you, even though it may be difficult or badly paid: He found his vocation in teaching.

Post and position are both fairly formal and are often found in advertisements. Post is often used about academic or government jobs: a teaching post. Position often refers to a job in a company with a lot of responsibility: a managerial/senior position

The most valuable assets of any business are its people. Land, buildings, goods, and equipment may dominate a balance sheet, but they do not make a business successful: people do. The prosperous businesses are the ones that have the best people – capable, creative, energetic people. To attract them requires both ingenuity and initiative on the part of an employer. However, the payoff in productivity is worth it. Staffing your business with the best people should be one of the highest priorities.

Staffing, leading and controlling are important functions of management. The main aim of staffing is to fill and keep filled the positions in the organization structure with competent people. It also involves selecting, hiring, promoting, planning the career, compensating and training.

Many firms have a personnel department with personnel manager directly responsible for coordinating activities of the employees. Yet, whether or not there is a personnel department, all managers are responsible for managing human resources. The main functions of the personnel manager usually include staff recruitment, training, and welfare. The term personnel management is somewhat misleading in that it is usually line managers who manage the work force, while personnel managers provide a mainly supportive and advisory service.

    7. Административная функция отдела кадров заключается в кадровом делопроизводстве, учете кадров и отчетности.

    8. Отдел управления персоналом является исполнителем стратегических решений, принятых топ-менеджерами компании.

    9. Управление человеческими ресурсами отвечает за участие в выработке и принятии ключевых решений в управлении бизнесом компании.
