Introduction

In the last decades education in Velikobritakny became one of the most priority directions in a state policy regardless of what political forces are in power. So, the National commission of Great Britain by training published in 1993 the report with the eloquent name "We learn to succeed. Radical view of education today and strategy on the future". Recommendations how to achieve positive changes, are formulated in the form of several purposes: Reduction of volume of compulsory education, improvement of system of professional development of teachers, concentration of management by education and trainings of teachers in hands of one body, increase in investments into education, expansion of participation of the public in school activity.

1 . Governing bodies of education in england

To the central governing bodies of education in England are: Department of Education and Science.

The Department of Education and Science takes neposredkstvenny part in elaboration of the general strategy of development of all types and education levels, has impact on the majority of educational zakvedeniye by means of financial operations, including and universities.

It should be noted that Departments of Education don't supervise activity of separate educational institutions. Control is imposed by Takka on Royal inspection and mestkny educational bodies. Direct control of activity of educational institutions of systems of school and further education is carried out by local educational bodies.

Characteristic of an education system in England is prevalence of the state sector. Process of "nationalization" of an education system began much later, than in other countries of Western Europe.
