Столкновение двух поездов в штате Западная Бенгалия на востоке Индии

10 июля на северо-востоке Индии в 65 километрах от города Гувахати (штат Ассам) в результате взрыва с рельсов сошел пассажирский поезд. Около 100 человек получили ранения разной степени тяжести. По некоторым данным, несколько человек погибли.

10 июля в Индии в 120 километрах от города Лакхнау (штат Уттар-Прадеш) сошли с рельсов 12 вагонов пассажирского поезда "Калка мейл", следовавшего из города Хаура (штат Западная Бенгалия) в Нью-Дели. В результате катастрофы погибли 80 человек, более 350 получили ранения. По некоторой информации, машинист поезда включил аварийное торможение, чтобы не врезаться в стадо коров, пересекавших железнодорожные пути.

20 мая на юго-западе Германии в районе железнодорожной станции Мюльхайм сошел с рельсов товарный поезд. Инцидент привел к утечке опасных химических веществ и временному закрытию движения по одной из самых оживленных железнодорожных веток между Германией и Швейцарией.

19 мая в ЮАР в городе Соуэто (пригород Йоханнесбурга) на станции Фомолонг произошло столкновение двух пригородных поездов: один из составов протаранил другой, стоявший на станции. В результате аварии пострадали 857 человек, трое из них получили серьезные ранения. Пострадавшие получили медицинскую помощь в больницах.

8 апреля в ЮАР в черте города Претория столкнулись два пассажирских поезда. В результате инцидента два вагона сошли с рельсов и перевернулись. Погибли два человека - машинист и пассажир одного из составов. Ранения различной степени тяжести получили 200 человек, 20 из которых были доставлены в больницы в критическом состоянии.

7 апреля в Израиле возле курортного города Нетания столкнулись два поезда. В результате один человек получил ранения средней тяжести и 50 - легкие ранения.
