Ex. 1. Translate the sentences into Russian, point out the Gerund.

1. I think of spending my next summer holidays in the Caucasus. 2. Everybody was surprised at seeing him there. 3. I lost much time in looking for her. 4. We did not succeed in getting tickets for the football match. 5. On learning that my friend was ill I went to see him immediately. 6. There was little hope of winning the contest. 7. Ex. 3. Translate into Russian paying attention to different forms of the Gerund.

Ex. 4. Open the brackets using the right form of the Gerund.
