MACKENZIE AIRPORT WELCOMES FIRST-TIME FLIERS!

Welcome to Mackenzie Airport, designed to get your jour ney off to the right start. Whether you're flying first class, busi ness class, or 1 class, we aim to give you efficiency and

comfort. For first-time fliers, we're prepared this leaflet to help you on your way.

When you arrive at the 2 you'll find plenty of

3 for your luggage. Once inside the spacious departures

concourse there are over fifty 4 where your ticket will be

checked and you'll be given a 5 . Your luggage will be

weighed and put on a 6 which takes it to the plane. Please

note there is a weight limit and any 7 will have to be paid

for. You can keep one small bag with you and take it into the plane as 8 .

You should then go through 9 , where an 10 will

look at your passport, and a 11 to make sure you are not

carrying any dangerous or illegal items. Now you'll find your self in the comfort of our modern air-conditioned 12 .

While you're waiting for your flight to be called, why not buy some cheap 13 goods-alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, per fume, electrical goods, or souvenirs?

Soon you'll hear an 14 or see on the 15 that your

flight is 16 . It will also tell you which 17 to go to.

Here you'll be helped by a 18 and on the plane a 19

will direct you to your seat. Bon voyage!

On your return to Mackenzie Airport we try to offer the same

efficient service. After you've passed through 20 , your

luggage will be waiting on the moving 21 in the 22

hall. Then pass through 23 where you should take either

the 24 , if you have nothing to declare, or the red chan nel, if you have to pay 25 . Once inside the arrival con course, lifts and 26 will take you to all major transport

services.

On behalf of everyone at Mackenzie Airport, I wish you a very pleasant journey.

WRITING

1. Give a good literally translation. Airport paralyzed

The great fog belt was moving over almost the whole of England last night, after a day of chaos when trains were delayed, planes grounded and racing cancelled.

Visibility was down to eight yards in some parts of London.

Traffic in many areas of London was virtually paralyzed as vehicles crawled at 5 miles per hour.

Not one airliner of about 250 services was able to land or take off at London Airport last night. At Gatwick Airport fog lifted for about two hours, and 15 airlines which had been circling London were diverted to Gatwick and landed.

During one hour more than 1,000 passengers crowded into the Gatwick terminal building. Hundreds more were kept in their airlines until the congestion in the building had eased.
