The words "Congressman", "Congresswoman" and "congressmen" are terms that combine members of the Senate and the House, though they are often used to describe only members of the house.
The US Congress is made up of 100 Senators and 435 Representatives.
US Senators serve six-year terms, with no term limits. Approximately 1/3 of Senators are up for re-election every two years.
The term of a Representative is 2 years. There is no limit to the number of terms a Representative may serve.
All 435 Representatives are up for election every even year (2006, 2008, 2010...).
Each state gets two Senators and a minimum of one Representative. Representatives are based on the population of the state.
