Yakutia Airlines (Russian: Авиакомпания „Якутия“ – Aviakompaniya “Yakutiya” "Air Company "Yakutia"") is an airline based in Yakutsk, Russia. It operates domestic passenger services in Russia and within the CIS, as well as charters to destinations in Europe from its hubs at Yakutsk Airport , Krasnodar, Irkutsk and Moscow's Vnukovo Airport.

It ranks 19th place in Russian airlines punctuality 8.01% and the tenth largest passenger traffic 3 586 342 in Russia.

Airline has about 70 destinations.

94.64% of company share is owned by the Ministry of Property Relations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Air transport is the only mode of transportation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), whose territory is more than three million square kilometers, year-round. Therefore, civil aviation plays a critical role in ensuring that all necessary remote areas of the country, introduces contribute to its socio-economic and cultural development.

History

The airline was found as Sakhaavia, the former Aeroflot Yakutsk Division and also previously known as Yakutaviatrans. It also operated cargo charters to Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East until it filed for bankruptcy in early 1999.

To meet the needs of the population and economy of the region in 2002 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of the faces of Sakha (Yakutia), based on the airlines' Sakhaavia and Yakutsk Airlines created a public company - the airline "Yakutia".

December 30, 2002 entered the history of aviation in Yakutia. On this day, the first flight set up the state highway air company "Yakutia" on Tu-154m en route Yakutsk - Moscow - Yakutsk. May 2011 - "Yakutia" received the first cargo aircraft Boeing 757-200 Freighter.

November 2011 - JSC " Airline " Yakutia " was declared the winner of the All-Russian contest" 100 best companies and organizations of Russia - 2011 "in nomination" Best Enterprise of transport . "

December 21, 2011 - the millionth passenger of the airline was registered in Yakutsk airport.

For the first nine years of operation, "Yakutia" crossed the one million mark by the end of passenger traffic during the year.

July 2012 - "Yakutia" was the official carrier of V International Sports Games "Children of Asia ".

December 18, 2012 - Airlines fleet deposited first Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft..

January 2013 - airline "Yakutia" became the first Russian aircraft operator Bombardier Dash 8 Q400.

January 21, 2013 - "Yakutia" celebrated the 10th anniversary of activity in the market of air transportation.

February 4, 2013 - JSC " Airline " Yakutia " was certified IOSA ( Operational Safety Audit International Air Transport Association (IATA) .)

March 2013 - 9 An-24RV and one AN-26 were handed over to the airline "Polar Airlines".

April 8, 2013 - the company was declared winner of the national aviation award "Wings of Russia" in the " Airline of the Year - passenger carrier on regional routes " and a diploma in the nomination " Airline of the Year - passenger carrier on domestic routes in Russia group I ( passenger traffic on DAL more than 3 billion passenger-kilometers ) . June 2013 - the airline "Yakutia" was included in the list of air carriers - full members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

February 2014 - "Yakutia" and VTB24 launched a joint co-branded card.

March 2014 - the airline completed all stages of checking for compliance with IOSA standards and extended the validity of the certificate until 2016 .

April 2014 - "Yakutia" was awarded the National Aviation Award "Wings of Russia " in the " Airline of the Year - passenger carrier on regional routes in group II ( Transfer of passengers on regional aircraft from 30 to 150 thousand people.) ". On the results of 2013.

April 7, 2014 in accordance with order of the President of the Republic of Sakha, CEO of the airline was assigned former Economy Minister, Olga Fedorova, taking the place of Ivan Prostit.

Accidents and incidents

On 4 February 2010, Flight 425, operated by Antonov An-24 RA-47360 suffered an engine failure on take-off from Yakutsk Airport for Olekminsk Airport. During the subsequent landing, the nose and port main undercarriage were retracted, causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
