Drilling Oil Wells with Lateral Boreholes.

Technology and methods for drilling and completing wells with lateral boreholes being in practice in Russia and abroad are analyzed. Sufficiently high efficiency of lateral borehole construction in the fields during the last operational period is demonstrated. Also considered are the new design solutions for the equipment intended to cut windows in exploitation wells together with the methods of drilling, widening and fastening additional boreholes. The description is given for the new prescriptions of drilling mortars composed on the base of polyglycol. The prospects for drilling multiple borehole wells are shown together with partially ap-
