Passive Voice
Passive = be + Past Participle
or the 3 –d form – для неправильных глаголов).
Present – am/is/are (not) + P II
Eg. All organisms are composed of one or more cells.
Past – was/were (not) + P II
Eg. The Belarusian State University was founded on October 30, 1921.
Future – will (not) be + P II
Eg. The novel will be published next month.
Eg. Shakespeare wrote Hamlet in 1599.
Hamlet, one of the great dramatic tragedies, was written by Shakespeare.
Present Continuous – am/is/are (not) being + P II
Past Continuous – was/were (not) being + P II
F
no
Passive
Present Perfect Continuous
Present Perfect – have/has (not) been + P II
Past Perfect – had (not) been + P II
Future Perfect – will (not) have been + P II
X. Modal Verbs (модальные глаголы)
Глаголы can (could), may (might), must, ought to, needn’t, should являются модальными.
I can do it.
You may take it.
I must go there.
You needn’t do it.
You ought to help him.
ч. в Present Simple:
He must speak to her.
She can do it herself.
Can you play chess?
Must he do the homework now?
May I work there?
cannot – can’t
could not – couldn’t
may not
might not – mightn’t
must not – mustn’t
ought – oughtn’t
need not – needn’t

Past |
Futture |
