1 Use the correct form of the verbs given in brackets.
At the station
We see three men at the railway station. They (1) (to speak) to a porter. "What time (2) (to be) the next train for London?" one of them(3) (to ask). "They(4) (to go) every hour. The next train(5) (to be) at ten o'clock," the porter (6) (to say). "That's all right," they (7) (to say). "Let's go to the refreshment room and wait for the train there."
At two minutes past ten the three men (8) (to run) out of the refreshment room and (9) (to ask) the porter, "Has the train gone?» — "Yes, it has," the porter (10) (to say). "The next train (I1) (to be) at eleven o'clock." "That(12) (to be) all right," the three men(13) (to say). "Let's go to the refreshment room and have a drink there."

At twelve o'clock we again (18) (to see) the three men running out of the refreshment room. Two of them have got into a carriage but the third man hasn’t into the train.
