1. A scanner is a gadget that has been innovated to scan the printed material, which can be an image or printed text and in turn digitally transfers, as image into a computer system for further handling out by the user.
2. Every scanner uses optical or light receptors to read texts and visual printed on paper or on any other material and decodes the information into a structure that can be used by the computer.
3. It optically scans image, printed text, handwritten documents and converts them into a digital image.
4. Scanner works on the principle of digitalizing an image by dividing it into a small lattice of boxes.
