Listening

1. Listen to the subject pronouns song and learn it. Use of English Subject pronouns

I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they

Use he for a man or a boy. E.g.: He is handsome.

Use she for a woman or a girl. E.g.: She is beautiful.

Use it for an animal or a thing. E.g.: It is my dog.

Use you in the singular and plural. E.g.: You are a student. You are students.

Use they for people, animals and things. E.g.: They are books.

1. Listen to “I Am, You Are, He/She Is” Song - Present Simple “To be”and learn it.

Use:

am with the personal pronoun I.

is with the personal pronouns he, she or it (or with the singular form of nouns).

are with the personal pronouns we, you or they (or with the plural form of nouns).

E.g.: I am hungry. The cat is big. Students are always open-hearted.

The form of ‘to be’ in the Present Simple.
