Cateter is near the ureteral orifice. If it is too soft the use of mandrin is reccomended.

Cause : occlusion of upper urinary tract with calculus, grume, slime, pus, caseous mass, allergic oedema of ureter.
Pathogenesis
Obturation of upper urinary tract and irritationof urotelial receptors.
Acute local spasm of the ureter and impairment of urine passage.
Elevation of intrapelvical pressure.
Decreasing of intrarenal veins tonus and spasm of intrarenal arteries.
Hypoxia, interstitial oedema.
Impairment of lymphodrainage.
Increasing of a kindey volume, compression of renal parenchyma.
Acute oedema of paranephral cellular tissue.
Clinical and laboratory findings
Acute pain.
Nausea, vomiting
Positive shaking symptom
Tenderness on kidney palpation
Fresh erythrocytes in the urine

Acute appendicitis
